The alpaca is a small camelid from the Andes Cordillera that lives between 3,000 and 4,500 metres above sea level. In this region, temperatures can vary between -25° and +35°! This explains the naturally thermoregulatory properties of the alpaca, which is suitable for all seasons.
Baby Alpaca does not refer to a fibre from a baby alpaca, but to the extreme fineness of a wool with exclusive qualities. Natural, Noble and Prestigious, it was called "the Fiber of the Gods" by the Incas. Today it is internationally recognized as one of the finest and most luxurious fibres in the world.
Light, silky and resistant, the alpaca does not plop. It is a naturally thermoregulatory, hypoallergenic and waterproof fiber.
